"Nature friendly" is our maxima. Due to constant monitoring of world trends and technologies we manage to keep pace with Nature. Our Mother Company in Austria is a part of WWF, world organization for Nature protection. After exploitation of raw materials we recultivate pits and return them to Nature even more beautiful then before. Finest example of our recultivation project is ex gravel pit Regau in Austria. After recultivation we made lake for swimming, with beautiful beach and sport courts, tracks for riding bicycles, jogging. That is what we plan to do here in Serbia. We made two Recultivation projects for quarries of Alas Rakovac which are located on Fruska gora mountain. Stone has been there excavated for seventy years and now time has come to return them back to Nature.
Beside its pleasant look quarry "Srebro", known as "Ledinacko jezero", is actually pit for stone excavation. Lake is not safe due to steep and opposite slopes which often cause stone to swoop down into water. After analyzing conditions and area possibilities of this mining pit we created Project for recultivation in cooperation with eminent experts from Faculty for Mining and Geology. According to that project we will create ambient that fits into landscape and surrounding of the National Park. We plan to make plain center with limited capacity for water sports, tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, soccer, tracks for alpinism and mountain bicycling. In order to make swimming in the lake safe we have to move edges of the lake. Thus we will get beautiful beach and lake for 1000 bathers.
Other quarry in the middle of our beautiful mountain Fruska gora is Kisnjeva glava. After seventy years of stone excavation we got a real quarry in the middle of greenness. Our plan is to recultivate it and create new surrounding. In accordance to World trends we decided to restore old industrial objects which are not in use anymore and keep them as part of museum exhibition. Existing objects will be divided in two groups: research - ecological camp and industrial camp. Research - ecological camp will include construction of accommodation facilities, workshop, classrooms, multimedia hall, square, opened summer stage, sport courts. Industrial park will consist of info stand, panoramic escalator and conserved secondary crusher as item for exhibition. All areas will be forested and enriched with autochthon species of trees and plants.
Apart from our will to return our quarries to Nature intact or even improved, we are legally obliged to perform recultivation and make quarry safe pursuant to the Article 42 of the Law on Mining.
So far our company has invested in Serbia some 65 m Euros and we are not planning to stop there. We shell expand our business here in Serbia and make all efforts to become one of the leading producers of construction materials.
