Insurance Committee

Insurance Committee gathers well-known international insurance companies and insurance brokers with the common goal to improve the insurance market climate in Serbia. All other FIC members that showed interest in various insurance issues (either as the ultimate consumers of insurance products or consultants) are also welcomed in Insurance Committee and invited to take active part in its operation.

Primary activities of the Insurance Committee are:

  • Discussions on current insurance market conditions and proposals for its improvements
  • Tracking changes and developments in insurance market conditions and legislation related to insurance
  • Establishing firm connections, cooperation and open discussion with all stakeholders, such as the insurance industry supervisor National Bank of Serbia, Ministry of Finance and others
  • Encouraging potential new foreign investors to establish their operation in Serbia and provide them with necessary information
  • Sharing best practices from the international insurance market where the FIC members from insurance industry are present

The main task of the Insurance Committee is to enhance professional approach and insurance services provided to clients in Serbia, thus increasing the level of the consumers' satisfaction.

In 2007, at FIC's initiative, National Bank of Serbia produced the list of mandatory insurances in Serbia, which is posted on official website of NBS.
